We did a small road trip to Keswick Ontario this summer to see our friends and meet their new baby. For respect of their wishes, there will be no group/baby photos posted here.

Originally the weather was supposed to be really nice and we had planned on going to the beach together and explore their town a bit more. Instead it had rained and spent most of the time at their house, which was still really nice and great company.

For lunch we had pizza and just chatted the afternoon away.

When it seemed like the rain had stopped, we took a drive to a local ice cream shop. Much different then any ice cream shop I’ve ever been to. You can’t sit in and you don’t step into the shop to order, for this one you have to order at the window and wait outside or in your car and go back to the window to collect your ice cream.

When we went, they had 35 different flavours to choose from!

I’m terrible at deciding how much ice cream we need for a family of 3. I got a small kiddy scoop for my daughter and then for my partner and I, I had decided to get us two scoops each.

She got Banana!
My Husband got Butterscotch Ripple & Chocolate Peanutbutter.
I got Pistachio Almond & Cookies and Cream.

After we got ice cream, since the weather was nice enough, we got to go for a long walk by one of their local parks/lakes. It’s amazing to see how many people live by the water and have their own docks and boats. Makes me kind of jelly, but makes me determined to have something like that one day.

Enjoy some of the water photos below:

After our walk we stopped by the playground so my daughter could enjoy the swing and slide.

The slide at the playground reminded me of the metal slides we had when I was younger. Odd enough they weren’t metal but still made you fly down when you wear leggings/pants without burning your hands/legs when sliding down. I ended up falling off the slide with my daughter in my lap and hit my back off the corner of the slide *face palm*.

Can’t wait to see what other parts of Keswick we can explore.
