This has been my 2nd year attending Ribfest, and I plan on making it a yearly tradition!
The Rib Team Vendors:
✨Brickyard BBQ
✨Camp 31 BBQ
✨Sticky Fingers
✨Uncle Sam’s BBQ
We ended up trying Sticky Fingers for our choice of rib vendor!
Other Food Vendors:
✨Funnel Cake Express
✨Big Texas Food Truck
✨Tiny Tom Doughnuts
✨Slushy Bear
✨Billy Bob’s Bloomin Onions
✨Alabama Lemonade
✨Ontario Corn Roasters
✨Pappy’s Olde Fashion Soda Pop
We also got a blooming onion from Billy Bob’s Bloomin Onions truck. The second I saw Pappy’s Olde Fashion Soda Pop stand has Butter Beer, I just had to!
My thoughts on the food/beverage:
The Butter Beer from here wasn’t my favourite. To be honest found it super sweet and it has a strange aftertaste. Ended up with a cool souvenir cup though.Blooming onion last year was amazing and I felt like I really needed to get it again this year. This year, it was a bit of a disappointment, looked kind of overdone, was super oily and the batter kept coming off the onion when we tried to pull it a part. Last year, it was a lot more smooth to eat. Considering how disappointed I was, definitely not worth the $16.This is the main show though! The ribs! Which tasted delicious! Full rack for about $35 was decently priced and it fed 3 of us. My kid really enjoying the ribs! She ended up eating 3 pieces herself and she’s normally particular with her meat.
We had planned on going on a couple of rides, getting ice cream and letting our daughter go on the bouncing castle, unfortunately it started raining and we decided against it. Nevertheless, it was still nice to go, and I always love listening to live entertainment and the vibe I get from these type of events.
