What makes a teacher great?

I’ve had a few amazing teachers over the years and the biggest pattern I’ve seen in each one of those teachers, is that they had a big heart and cared for me as if I was their own.

If they noticed you aren’t acting like yourself, they bring it up. If your grades are slipping, they show they are there for you if you need the extra support. I’ve also been bullied in the past, and the teachers that I remember the most all stuck up for me, they put extra emphasis on my strengths and never put me down. They all went above and beyond with their jobs.

I’ve felt so honoured and feel so grateful to have so many wonderful people shape me to who I am today.
