The Galaxie Diner in Vaughn has actually been on my bucket list for a long while, when it came to food joints to try.

The place was setup nice, definitely gave diner vibes. Also thought it would be cool if they had a jukebox and if the staff were working in rollerskates or rollerblades.

Here are some pictures of what it looked like inside:

My Husband and I both got Vanilla Pepsi. I can’t remember the last time I had Vanilla flavoured pop in general! So it definitely felt like a throw back for me. We ordered orange juice for our Daughter.

What I ordered:

Italian Wedding Soup. She ate some of my soup and loved it.
BLT on rye with light mayo

What we got for our Daughter:

Grilled Cheese with fries. I tried a a couple of fries and a bit of the grilled cheese. Both tasted really good and the cheese was nice and thick.

What he ordered:

Grilled Cheese

I felt like my meal had good portions/size. Was surprised that grilled cheese didn’t come with friends for an adult, you had to pay extra as a side (not sure if this is a norm for a diner, it’s been a long time since I ate at one). The fries that came with our Daughters food did taste really good, but, I felt like it was a bit stingy. Maybe because it was for a kids meal?

Prices were amazing. For everything shown in the pictures, plus 2 pops and a juice, we paid $48.38 including tax and tip. Might be a little more expensive as diner food, however, considering prices are ridiculous everywhere and we were able to feed three people eating out under $50, I’d say it’s pretty damn good.

I would definitely go back and there are a few other items I’d love to try from there.
