Welcome to my tea talk, this is where I can ramble and just get random thoughts out of my head. Topics could very well be really mix matched, so prepare yourselves for just about anything. These posts could also be posted multiple times a week or even a couple of times a month… but, always on a day I consume some sort of tea, this way I can share my drink of the day with you.

On Sunday I got to visit a friend I worked with at Longo’s, it was so lovely to see her (she always treated me like a daughter of her own). Unfortunately I don’t get to see her very often due to life getting incredibly busy, our visits usually last a few hours and only happen 1-2 times a year. The drive to go see her is always nice, there is something about driving around farm land alone (or with the kid napping), windows down, music playing and me just so relaxed and singing. Sometimes I’m lucky to see horses during the drive too, which I LOVE HORSES 🐴.
During the drive home, I always have to detour going home. I enjoy driving near the Caledon skii lodge, the winding roads, all the greenery, it’s just.. peaceful to me. Therapeutic even. I often also drive past the Cheltenham Badlands, which is honestly such a nice sight, and I can’t wait to finally score pictures of it. We do plan on HOPEFULLY going there a day this Summer 🤞🏻.

More and more I’m realizing how much of an extrovert I am, and how off I feel when I don’t get the opportunity to socialize. Socializing is such an important part of who I am, and it’s not only with texting and calling (sometimes I feel burnt out just looking at a screen, because I work on a computer or try to get my social fix by texting, and texting is definitely not the same.
The type of social I need in my life is to see people in person. Go for a drink or a cup of tea/coffee. Just talk in person. Go hiking or for a walk together. I don’t often get to do those things, but when I do get to, I cherish them. But, sometimes those things aren’t enough for me to get my social fix in. Hosting… one of the things I miss the absolute most is to have people over, and just play board games, or cards, watch a movie together, maybe even a sleep over or a BBQ. I’m definitely a person that loves hosting, and one day wishes to be able to host a big friends-giving dinner or a just because dinner. I’ve even been day dreaming about in person themed book clubs. Things like this seem a little far out of reach for me, but it’s something I’m really trying to reach for in hopefully the near future.
